Umrah Sponsorship Project 2025
Emaan Foundation Cambodia (EFC), working alongside Emaan Catalyst Community, successfully executed the Umrah Sponsorship Project 2025, allowing 36 low-income Cambodians to undertake Umrah pilgrimage. The initiative received USD 72,942.86 in funding through PRISM and ran throughout 2025.
The program targeted economically disadvantaged individuals, encompassing widows, single mothers, recently converted Muslims, exceptional young people, scholars, and service-oriented community members. For numerous recipients, this sponsorship represented an otherwise inaccessible opportunity to visit Makkah and Madinah’s sacred sites.
The initiative extends beyond the pilgrimage experience itself. It promotes continued spiritual practices, encourages beneficiaries to become community leaders, and facilitates knowledge-sharing through discussions and guidance. This methodology creates expansive benefits throughout beneficiary communities.
Recipients communicated profound gratitude toward the benefactor, Mr. Nudgem and his family, as well as EFC, characterising the opportunity as exceptional and profoundly significant.
